Abstract: To improve declining of fresh water fisheries resource, this paper aims to report an activity of a corroboration research between river engineers, biologists and limnologists in the Chikuma River. The corroboration research developed a compartment model that can estimate production condition. Using the compartment model, we compared the productivity condition in the 1950s and 2010s. In the results, flow conditions in the 1950s were shallow and gentle, production conditions were high in each biotic level. This result indicated restoration of the shallow and gentle flow condition had possibility to restore fresh water fisheries resource.
