Abstract: The conical overflow weir fishway has been appropriate for the low water head channels, with its simple structure, popular price and more effect of crossing fish. Based on cone overflow weir fishway as object, through model test and numerical simulation research, analyzed the flow (Q) and the fishway pool for wide ratio (L: B) affect the flow regime in the fishway. The results show that the change in the flow in the fishway, has a great influence on indoor velocity of fishway pool, the effects of a structure for the flow field structure; Along with the increase of the fishway pool for wider than a single pool indoor backflow zone area also increased gradually, but backflow zone area accounted for the proportion of a single pool room did not change significantly. Research suggests that comprehensive consideration migratory fish began with difficulty and construction costs, weir fishway pool for wide than 1.5/1 when more economical and practical.
