Time-Space Structure of Ice Changes Along the Polish Coast

Abstract: Polish Ice Service is collecting and exchanging information about ice on the Polish coastal zone. The service is provided for all marine activities: fisheries, navigation, drilling, harbors. Visual data are collected from 35 coastal stations and ships. The name of the paper is the presentation presenting ice structure changes along the Polish coast from time period: 1961-2008 with parameters: ice frequency, ice concentration. Most important results of the ice data analysis was the part of Ice Atlas for the western and southern Baltic Sea and was published as the digital supplement which can be added to the electronic navigational charts.
