Abstract: Based on the analysis and summary of the origin and definition contents of water resources carrying capacity, this paper analyzes the applicability of water resources carrying capacity evaluation method from the view of quantity and quality of Evaluation index selection, index weight ratio, vertical and horizontal comparison of water resources carrying capacity, dynamic prediction, evaluation result form and regulation, and prospects and analyses from the perspectives of the perfections on water resources carrying capacity definition, the researches on applicable method and Its application and so on.
