Abstract: The Mediterranean Andalusian coast has been altered by human activities and severe events of erosion and floods, which, although already frequent, are expected to be aggravated due to global warming. Coastal managers will face the problem, sooner rather than later, of taking measures to deal with threatened properties and economic activities. Therefore, a correct delimitation of coastal areas vulnerable to flooding is crucial. In this work, we present the methodological approach that is being developed in the framework of the ARCA project (Proyecto Retos B-TEP-110-UGR20, FEDER Andalucía 2014-2020) to provide a robust probabilistic assessment of coastal flooding risk in this region under a climate change scenario.
