Abstract: A combined monitoring and modelling approach is used to investigate coastal change on a dissipative beach in Brandon Bay, Ireland. Time-lapse cameras were deployed and assessed for their suitability for detection of shoreline edge and wave run-up. Surveyed beach profiles were used to assess changes in beach elevation from December to February 2022 and a coupled wave-morphology model was developed using SWAN and XBeach to simulate the observed changes.
