Abstract: Sewage discharges, deposition of suspended solids, fertilizer run-offs, and many other anthropogenic activities increase nutrient production of inland and coastal waters, resulting in Eutrophication. Scientists and stakeholders have recognized the urgent need for restoration applications. This work presents chemical restoration methods that aim to reduce the P and N loads within the water column using clay-based materials.
