Abstract: Calculational schemes of flow transportability until now were based on the assumption that maximal quantity of solid particles, which are transported by the flow, is directly proportional to its velocity and is inverse proportion to the bed roughness. Calculations and planning of modern expensive hydraulic engineering buildings now are based on these assumptions. Institute of Water Problems and Hydraulic Engineering of Armenia has executed theoretical and experimental research in the field of laden floods transportability definition, and as a result of experimantal investigations it was discovered a yet unknown effect, according to which the flow transportability increases with the gradual decrease of the velocity. This allowed to assume that the traditional conception of flow transportability does not reflect the dependence of its changes.
