Abstract: The authors provide a new approaching formula for the computation of the circulating velocity in the river-bends. In the river-bends always-circulating flows develop. The basic equations from which the circulation velocity (v_r) can be derived are the dynamic and continuity equations, written on cylindrical co-ordinates systems. For solution, all authors applied a simplified form of these equations. The result, that the derived approximated function provided v_r =■ value, near at the bottom. This causes practical and theoretical problems during the calculation and analyzes processes. The authors applied a new (parabolic) integration method for the equation system. As a result of this, we got a new formula for the computation of vr, which provides more realistic and logical values for the v_r circulating velocity in the total range of the water depths. The new formula is as follow: Where W, C, K_2 are hydraulic constants depending on the hydraulic character of the flow, and η= z/h is the relative depths.
