Abstract: A new method to compute the two-dimensional distribution of depth in regular bend channel is presented in this paper. First, a differential equation for water depth and the condition to determine its solution are established, then the analytic solution of a Cauchy problem are obtained. By use of this solution the distribution of water depth can in open bend channel be easily determined.
