A 3-Dimensional Numerical Model of Haizhou Bay[1]

Abstract: This paper presents the model based on the original 3-dimensional fundamental equations of the fluid dynamics, which are discrete with the rectangle grids in the horizontal plane and the coordinate in the vertical direction. The process-splitting method is used to solve the momentum equations, and the second moment turbulence closure sub-model is adopted for the vertical kinematic viscosity and the vertical diffusivity. The simulated tidal current fields of Haizhou Bay and Lianyun Harbor are presented and the tide feature in Lianyun Harbor is analyzed due to the construction of the west embankment.
