Abstract: A key component of anadromous fisheries restoration on regulated river systems is the implementation of a variable annual flow regime. Salmon are a disturbance-based species, much of their life cycle is adapted to benefit following disturbances of the river system, specifically large floods. Enabling fluvial processes that lead to salmonid habitat rejuvenation is the primary objective of regulated floods on the Trinity River.
