Abstract: In this paper, an optimization procedure by using Genetic Algorithm (GA) is developed for calibration of the both hydraulic simulation models of DDSM and HDSM. In this procedure three variables of pipe roughness coefficient, nodal demand and pipe diameter are investigated for calibration of the hydraulic models. Four consumption scenarios of minimum, normal, maximum and fire consumption are considered for calibration of hydraulic models. To evaluate the advantages of the proposed methodology, the suggested calibration procedure is applied on a test network with different consumption scenarios and variables. Comparisons of the results show that the best results are obtained when the fire consumption scenario is considered for combined variables of pipe roughness and nodal demand. Also HDSM produces lower error values in comparison with DDSM.
