Abstract: In addition to basic characteristics of the existing water supply system of Nis, investigations of the Krupac Spring, geological and hydrogeological characteristics of the catchment area, a pumping test, speleological exploration (diving) inside the spring, and a mathematical model of spring discharge are presented. An overview is given in the conclusion of intended works and necessary investment in the Krupac Spring, currently in the process of implementation to permanently secure additional 200-300 l/s of water for the City of Nis during the most critical part of the year.
