Abstract: The eco-hydraulic planning and management in Korea are reviewed in this paper. The general descriptions of the hydraulic characteristics in Korea were indicated based on the topographic, hydrologic and sediment phenomena analysis. The research papers, which are related with hydraulics, were classified through the Journal of KWRA (Korea Water Resources Association) and it was indicated the eco-hydraulic researches related to the eco-hydraulic planning and management are continuously increased even though the topic for flood forecasting and the river runoff is the most frequent selected research topic in the hydraulic division. Also, sediment and scour, and water supply and drainage are also frequently indicated in the Journals. The progress and change of the basic concept for the water resources master plans in Korea are introduced. Also, the river and stream restoration works, which are conducted based upon four different categories, are introduced. The works are continuously increased with the strong support from residents, NGO's and the other groups.
