Abstract: Flow and turbulent structures around spur dikes with various permeability were studied experimentally. The velocity filed of the solid, semi-porous, porous and submerged spur dikes are measured and compared. The processes of momentum exchange are different from each other with respect to the permeability of the spur dike. The recovering process of the streamwise velocity distribution becomes slower with an increase of the permeability.
