Abstract: The objective of the study is to evaluate the potential environmental impact of the Al-Sharq Waterfront Project, Kuwait. The study covers the water circulation, water quality, marine ecology and fisheries, noise and disturbance, and stabilization of beaches and sediment transport. The potential environmental impact is studied in two stages: during construction (short-term effect) and after construction (long-term effect). The conclusions and general considerations regarding the environmental feasibility of the project are given, and measures to minimize the adverse impact on the environment are recommended.
