Abstract: Selective use of instream structures referred to functionally as upstream “V” -dams have been used to rehabilitate damaged streams and reconstruct necessary anthropogenic structures to a condition which is more compatible with the natural stream function. These rock structures functionally and aesthetically simulate the natural step drop-pool or riffle drop-pool features of steep streams.
