Abstract: Organized motion appearing near the vegetation zone in an open channel is described by a numerical simulation based on a concept of LES. Its results clarifies that unsteady behavior of flow such as an organized motion can influence even the time averaged velocity field. Furthermore, it is applied to describe the unsteady behavior of suspended sediment concentration, and the results clarifies that' the unsteady entrainment of suspended sediment affected by organized unsteady flow strongly degenerate even the time-averaged distribution of concentration distribution of suspended sediment near the vegetation zone.
