Abstract: The computer mathematical modeling of hydraulic problems is an alternative engineering technique, beside the physical model, to determine flow variables for different situations. In this study some transient pipe flow models are used to simulate unsteady flows of solid-1iquid mixtures and the mechanism of spreading of solid particles along the pipe. The models are quite generals and include such physical effects as velocity solid-liquid slip, drag force, inertial interaction incorporating a virtual mass force etc. The models use the equations of continuity and motion for each phase, having resulted in four governing eguations.
