Abstract: In the past, sea walls were constructed only to prevent hinterland from inundation due to wave attack. Nowadays, coastal designers are eager to design seawalls not only to satisfy the least requirements but to provide environmental friendly structures with a fine aesthetic touch. Therefore, recent advances of mound or reef type seawalls have gain the popularity over conventional vertical walls.
