Abstract: This paper describes the work carried out by the Centro de Estudios Hidrograficos del CEDEX of the Ministerio de Obras Publicas, Transportes y Medio Ambiente (Spain), concerning the analysis and proposed extension of the network of flow measurement stations in the River Guadiana Basin (61.000 Km～2) in Spain, with the aid of Geo graphic Information Systems (GIS).
