Abstract: This paper presents the outline of economic evaluation for water-supply reservoirs and identifies controversial problems in practice. In case the market value of municipal water is unavailable, the problems due to use of alternative reservoir project cost as proposed project benefit are discussed. Hopefully, this paper may stimulate the researches of economics for reservoirs.
