Abstract: The reliable field measurement of bed forms displacement velocity, Ub, in alluvial streams, has been always a considerable difficult andor expensive task. As a consequence many mathematical formulas and methods have been developed in order to predict Ub(see for example, Graf, 1971 and Yalin, 1977).
