Abstract: The construction of a major trunk road along the River Blackwater valley in Hampshire has resulted in the need to relocate a length of the River Blackwater This gave the National Rivers Authority an opportunity to construct and study the hydraulic performance of an environmentally acceptable, doubly meandering, two-stage channel.
