Abstract: The paper is written for expounding the friction law of freshwater ice systematically, so that we can get to know the deterioration mechanism between freshwater ice and hydraulic structure inland, and reduce the harm of freshwater ice. In the experiment we have studied the influence of temperature, ice block weight and sliding rate on dynamic friction coefficient of freshwater ice sliding on concrete, plank and ice. The result of experiment shows that the influence of temperature, weight (positive pressure) and sliding rate is involved with the surface roughness, because different surfaces lead to different mechanisms of action. The value rank of dynamic friction coefficients on the various channels is: plank>concrete>ice.
