Abstract: Experience in operating platforms on the continental shelf of the Okhotsk Sea has shown that ice abrasion is a dangerous phenomenon and may cause destruction of the material in the tidal zone. This article discusses the results of calculating the depth of the ice abrasion of concrete gravity base structure in Arkutun-Dagi fields performed with the use of software and the design of the complex IceStrIn. Analysis of the results of numerical modeling to evaluate the effect of various parameters of ice conditions on the process of ice abrasion and promotes the development of a simplified calculation of the depth of the ice abrasion. Experiment (full-scale, laboratory, or numerical model) is one of the first places among the methods of obtaining information about the internal relationships of phenomena and technology. The basis of the theory of this experiment is to mathematical statistics, where the results of calculations are treated as random variables or random processes. Research of the model of the ice loads and actions based on the numerical experiment, where the characteristics of the ice abrasion depth of concrete platform built under "Sakhalin-1 Arkutun-Dagi GBS Project" were obtained with the help of the developed IceStrIn software. Analysis of the numerical modeling output allows to evaluate the effect of various parameters of ice conditions on the process of ice abrasion and promotes the development of a simplified calculation of the ice abrasion depth.
