Abstract: The influence of nonlinear phenomena on the amplitude of forced flexural-gravity wave under the resonance with external moving pressure field is considered. Ice cover is modeled by a thin elastic plate, floating on fluid surface. The asymptotic equations, describing forced wave evolution, are deduced from the full system of equations for the potential motions of ideal fluid beneath an elastic ice sheet. It is shown that the amplitude of the forced wave, generated by localized pressure field, is restricted due to the influence of cubic nonlinear phenomena. It is defined the range of the existence of steady solution for forced wave in a vicinity of the resonance.
