A Numerical Simulation of Ice-Cone Interaction

Abstract: A numerical method to simulate ice forces on a conical structure is presented. The method is based on a simple concept derived from model test observations. Simulation results show a good agreement with experimental data. The effect of non-simultaneous failure on ice forces on a conical structure is simulated.
