Abstract: Geotextiles are now widely used in hydraulic engineering practice. Based on the repeately freezing from 0C to -40C, the effect of freezing to the hydraulic properties of geotextiles is discussed. The experimental results show that the permeability coefficient K reduces linearly with the drop of temperature. But the reduction is not significant.
