Abstract: A summer sea ice simulation in the East Greenland area was carried out by using a mesoscale sea ice model, which was developed at Danish Hydraulic Institute. Through a group of sensitivity tests, the oceanic heat flux field, the surface current field and the air drag coefficient are discussed. And a sea ice hindcast in the area from Sep. 1,1979 to Sep. 29,1979 is also shown in the paper and compared with remote sensing data.
