Abstract: It is feared that sea level rise caused by climate change has various effects on the coastal area. In Japan, coastal forests have been developed for the purpose of preventing inflow of sand into houses and preventing winds, and they are still present in various parts of the country. In recent years, while disaster prevention and mitigation measures by green infrastructure development are attracting attention, coastal forests are very important from the viewpoints of coastal environment conservation, disaster prevention and mitigation, and landscape protection, and appropriate management is required. As a result, it is suggested that the loss risk may spread widely even if the sea level rise is slight.
