Abstract:
Interbasin water transfers have supported the development and growth of many areas with limited water resources. These have been areas whose growth was inhibited by the lack of water, but they were favored by conditions such as the proximity to various natural resources, attractive climate, ideal location for trade, and historic, cultural and other forces.
