Abstract: Ensuring access to clean water and proper sanitation is vital for human well-being, supporting efforts to combat climate change, protect marine environments, and conserve terrestrial ecosystems. By addressing these interrelated goals, significant strides can be made toward a more sustainable and harmonious world. This issue is captured by the EU project “SDGs-EYES – A Copernicus driven service for monitoring UN SDG indicators”, which is aimed at enhancing the modelling and monitoring of a selection of SDG indicators in an integrated perspective by leveraging Earth Observation data provided by Copernicus services. SDGs-EYES’s pilot indicators are picked within SDG 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water), and 15 (Life on Land), which are intrinsically connected to SDG 6 (Water Sanitation). This contribution focuses on describing the project’s ambition, implementation and preliminary results.
