Abstract: The integration of APIs into the processing and management of hydraulic data can offer significant benefits in optimizing the performance and efficiency of complex projects. This study details the use of Python to automate tasks within the hydraulic transient software WANDA, specifically applied to the a 75km water pipeline project conducted by IDOM in the UAE. By leveraging Python, the project achieved substantial automation in data handling, reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks and improving the modeling of hydraulic transient analysis. The results show that this approach not only speeds up decision-making but also enhances resource efficiency, leading to more effective management of complex hydraulic systems. This work underscores the potential of API-driven automation as a crucial tool for advancing hydraulic project outcomes.
