Abstract: The plain area has the characteristics of flat terrain, dense river network, low water surface gradient, which lead to long drainage time. Therefore, rapid waterlogging drainage and improvement of drainage capacity have always been one of the challenges in the hydrology and hydrodynamics of the plain river network. In order to study the variation law of flood water level in plain river network, selected the South Head Sluice of Hangjiahu Plain South Drainage backbone project and the change process of water level fall during flood drainage as the research object. The encrypted hydrological website was carried out to monitor the change process of river water level, and the mutation law of water level drop along the river was found. Through Manning coefficient inverse problem and digital simulation analysis, the relationship between flood drainage and boundary layer and liquid viscosity coefficient of plain river network. In addition, the mechanism of hydrodynamic zoning was revealed. This study can provide reference and guidance for hydrological and hydrodynamic simulation and regulation planning of plain river network.
