Abstract: As the largest urban lake in Wuhan and even China, East Lake plays an important role in many aspects, including rainwater storage and regulation, ecological regulation, landscape entertainment, fishery and industrial and agricultural water resources, which has a significant impact on the sustainable development of Wuhan’s environment, economy, and society. However, East Lake is also suffering from huge environmental disturbances and pressures brought by the surrounding areas. A large amount of domestic sewage (including catering) and indirect input from air pollution caused by urban human and vehicle flows have made it a pollution convergence area. In order to provide decision-making basis for improving the water quality of East Lake, it is necessary to study the input-response relationship between the water quality of East Lake and the pollutant discharge in the East Lake Basin. This article adopts a two-dimensional hydrodynamic water quality model to analyze the response relationship between the pollutant discharge in the East Lake Basin and the water quality of East Lake, providing basis and reference for the treatment and improvement of water environment in East Lake.
