Abstract: Based on the current situation and demands of the Jiangya and Zaoshi water conservancy projects in the Lishui River Basin and the requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources for the pilot construction of digital twin water conservancy projects. A series of multidimensional hydrological and hydraulic models are constructed under the foundation of the overall framework of digital twin water conservancy projects by incorporating mechanism models and intelligent optimization algorithms. Through the establishment of a digital twin platform which have capability of flood control simulation of the “Four Precautions” (forecast, early warning, rehearsal, and plan) by utilizing three-dimensional simulation engines and thematic digital scenes, the platform is validated through flood scheduling and flood control drills. The results show that, the platform can realize the simulation of “rainfall-runoff-confluence-scheduling-evolution” process. By coupling the components of the flood control “Four Precautions” models, flexibly constructing multiple scenarios, and rapidly calculating rehearsals, the computational efficiency is greatly improved. This enables the real-time monitoring and flood early warning, flood forecasting and scheduling, rehearsal simulation, collaborative command and scheduling, and other functions of the Jiangya and Zaoshi water conservancy project, comprehensively supporting the safe operation, which can provide reference and guidance for the construction of flood control “Four precautions” applications for similar digital twin water conservancy projects.
