Abstract: When water conservancy informatization enters the era of big data, the biggest challenge encountered may not be insufficient information, but information overload; it may not be the “accessibility” of information, but the problem of information islands. Blockchain is a decentralized distributed ledger. Once the confirmed data blocks are uploaded to the chain, they are difficult to tamper with. The data blocks uploaded to the chain are timestamped, which can avoid data silos, low data quality, data leakage, etc. in the process of non-confidential data management. This article combines the decentralized, tamper-proof and traceable characteristics of blockchain technology to explore its application prospects in the construction of a smart water conservancy system, bringing new breakthroughs to the informatization and intelligence of the water conservancy industry, helping to break down industry data sharing barriers and promote data co-construction and sharing.
