Abstract: Although the Ganjiang River Basin is located in the water sufficient area, there are still problems such as uneven spatial and temporal distribution of water resources and prominent contradiction between water supply and demand. Water dispatch, as an important means of optimal allocation of water resources, is of great significance for realizing efficient use and refined management of water resources in the basin. Based on the general software, a water resources conventional dispatch model that meets water demands of the Ganjiang River Basin is constructed by the way of system customization and secondary development. This conventional dispatch model includes forecasting monthly inflow, calculating available water supply, declaring water use plan, verifying water use plan, and calculating water supply and demand balance. Research shows that with the help of general software, the conventional dispatch model of the Ganjiang River Basin can realize optimal allocation and real-time control of water resources, and provide decision support for the preparation of annual scheduling plan in the Ganjinag River Basin.
