Abstract: For predictions of mixing behavior in river, the one-dimensional advection-dispersion equation (ADE) has been widely applied. Although many kind of numerical models have been already developed and applied to simulate pollutant transport, it consumes considerable time and cost to obtain the solution for several kilometers of river length. In this study, the 1D Routing model, which can predict the onedimensional pollutant mixing more efficiently than numerical models, was developed, and 1D tracer test was performed to evaluate the models in Cheongmi creek, South Korea. The model showed good agreements with observed values showing the value of R-squred over 0.8. For the proper estimation of longitudinal dispersion coefficients, the several empirical formulas were evaluated using the 62 sets of hydraulic data measured in natural stream. The formula suggested by Disley et al. (2015) showed the lowest errors among them.
