Abstract: In this paper, we present an application of a two-dimensional model for studying the flow regime, sediment transport and bed changes at Cua Lap estuary area under the combination of wave, wind and tide in two monsoons: Southeast and Northwest. The model is based on the system of non-linear equations including Reynolds equations, sediment transport, and bed load continuity. The obtained results from the model indicate that the trend of deposition and erosion at Cua Lap estuary is definitely different in two monsoons. More specifically, in the Southwest monsoon, deposition trends to occur on the right side of river mouth while erosion happens on the left side of river mouth, and this trend is completely contrary in the Northeast monsoon. These results will be helpful for marine navigation. Additionally, the simulated results are compared with the observed data and previous researches and receive a good agreement.
