Abstract: The paper presents the result of landslide hazard mapping for Son La province. In this paper, landslides triggering factors including rainfall, slope angle, land cover, soil type and some others were involved in this study. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was entirely used to estimate the prioritization of these factors. Based on 10 landslide events were recorded in the study area, each factor was classified into classes. The derived weight value of each class was determined via statistical information. In the end, landslide hazard map was presented using layering techniques in Geographic Information System (GIS) and fit with the events recorded in this area.
