Abstract: Floods in Alginet (Valencia, Spain) are a recurrent problem in which relevant agencies have worked for years. Several classic hydraulic infrastructures of protection (channeling, cutoff) solve local problems. Alginet has an urban planning which shows a specific urban zone arrangement and kind of buildings. This is the third analysis because it is necessary to detect origin of the problem and to quantify it with high accuracy. LIDAR cartography or new mathematical models enhance precision calculation and allows suggest coupled solutions.
