Abstract: This paper gives the studies on the large low-outlet work by conversion of diversion tunnel. The hydraulic model test is carried out on flow pattern, pressure and velocity distributions, air concentration and energy dissipation ratio. It proves that it is a feasible plan and can save the construction cost comparing to excavate a new tunnel.
