Abstract: A mathematical model was developed to estimate the behavior of fish and plankton in a reservoir. This model is based on a combination of 3-dimensional flow model, and describes fish and plankton as mass particles in current. The artificial life method is applied to express their characteristics, such as an adaptive and distributed behavior in the model. We call this model as the" adaptive particle model". From a result of a verification calculation, this shows satisfactorily a fish behavior under a current.
