Abstract: This paper presents the results of a model study on the hydraulics of fish and boat pass channel. Characteristics of water surface and velocity profiles were examined. The results indicated that some of the migratory species of Japanese rivers might find favor to use the channel for ascending. Further, the channel is expected to serve the small pleasure boats to go upstream.
