Abstract: By investigating deposition processes of suspended sediments in overgrown with grass and flooded valley of the Nemunas delta and by calibration of the suspended sediment mathematical model, in which the usual sediment deposition formulas were employed, we had received the results that did not meet with the measurement data in the Nemunas delta in the cases of not high sediment concentration. Therefore it was necessary to investigate peculiarities of the flow and sediment motion in the delta, and to work out the means for calculation improvement. In this paper some necessary corrections of these formulas are proposed.
