Abstract: The history of the tunnel of Eupalinos, as well as an analysis of the hydraulic conditions of this majestic work in its time and that continues being, since to Eupalinos the first hydraulic engineer considers. In the year 530 B. C., Poylcrates (570 - 522 B. C. ) were the governor of the Greek island of Samos in the East of the Aegean Sea, in the coast of Turkey, he ordered their engineer to begin the construction in the tunnel to provide the water supply in safe form and that it happened below Monte Castro, for the capital city Pythagorean. The construction began under direction of Eupalinos de Magara that lasted of 15 to 25 years. Throughout history have used this type of tunnels and have changed very little over time, it is currently one of the most effective ways of transporting water from one place to another, it presents itself as a design for more than 2, 500 years ago is still used around the world.
