Abstract: Algae pollution in lakes has been an environment problem world wide. The primary cause of the algae pollution is water eutrofication. The control factor of the eutrification is phosphorous. The techniques of removing algae and phosphrous have been studied by many previous researchers. But the appropriate implementing time period has little been studied up to now. Therefore, those control techniques have not been played the biggest role in controlling the pollution. Aimed at this topic, this paper carried out experiments in order to provide the theoretical bases for implementing those techniques restraining cyanobacteria bloom effectively. A conclusion is made from the experimental results that the ability of intaking phosphorous is the highest in the logarithmic growth phase and recovering phase after cyanobacteria bloom and decline phase, the phosphorous in the water is enriched in the cyanobacteria cells, the control focus should be put on using mechanical removal of algae, when the algae is separated from water the phosphorous can also be removed at the same time, this avoids reoccurring cyanobacteria bloom; when cyanobacteria declines seriously, the phosphorous releases from dead cyanobacteria cells to the water, the content of phosphorous in the water increases fast, then the control focus should be put on fast removing the phosphorous from the water; if the eutrophication degree is high in water and meteological condition is suitable for growth of cyanobacteria, one must apply appropriate measure to reduce the content of the phosphorous in the water and avoid occurring cyanobacteria bloom.
